On other low carb lists it is often noted that there will be a metallic
taste in the mouth from ketones excreted in the breath, so although it
hasnt been mentioned (most check with ketosticks) I would suggest that a
quick test with ketosticks would confirm your suspicions, which sound
pretty logical to me
