Larry, I tried that, but got this message: "seek error Drive A". I am not
familiar with this message, but it sounds like a hardware problem. But
since the new drive and cable didn't cure the problem, where is the hardware
failure? The connection to the floppy disk controller on the mobo must be
working since the LED lights up when I try to access the drive, and it
actually tries to spin. If that message isn't a hardware problem, what the
heck is it? Joel
That should be easy to verify.
Simply press F8 and boot to safe mode command prompt only
and see if the a: drive works.
