I have seen this problem at work couple of weeks ago. The problem was fixed
by creating the simple database  again in the Pc with the problem. If this
database have been copied from another computer make sure that the DB is
pointing to the right location. The DB was created on an NT 4.0 computer and
it was copied to a Win 95 computer. There is also a lot of incompatibility
between Access 2k and Access97.
