My Microsoft 98 system has suddenly refused to "shut-down". Each time I log out and shut down, it goes into a "wait" mode and then just returns to the standard windows screen. The only way I can shut off the AT system is to turn off the power button. When I next turn the system on, I get the usual scan disc, etc. before it will come on.
  Any suggestions will be of great assistance.
