Native peoples don't do this (bingeing) -- only overnourished and weak willed
westerners do this. We are much too soft, and we are terrified of being
"deprived." This is exactly why fasting is so important -- it toughens your
mental resolve. I just hiked strenuously in high temperatures for seven
hours, with no breakfast, no lunch, and only a light meal of carne asarde
tacos on return. Do I feel deprived, and famished? No, quite the contrary. We
worry far too much about eating. Just stop doing it, and you'll feel much
better.
Read books about native americans, and find out how they used to eat. The
early researchers from the early 1900s wrote a lot about this, and it is very
valuable information for us.
