So long ago  (1950-1960) and not too far away (in Oregon)
there were some fast food restaurants that featured
"Broasted Chicken".

It was cooked so that the bones were crunchy;  about like
peanut brittle.

I recall chewing them up and eating them.   The bones that
is.

Would you suspect that it was cooked in a pressure cooker so
that the bones were tenderized?
