After all the talk about the incidences we've had in public, I remember one
Dad I was so proud of!
We were at Wal-Mart, and as always, we capture the attention of every child.
I love to watch the parents responce to the interested child.

The one that I enjoyed the most was a little boy about 4 or 5 yrs old. He
had been watching us for a few min. when his dad noticed we had caught his
son's attention. The little boy asked his dad what was wrong with Jim.
Usually at this point, most parents hush their child and quickly walk the
other way, but this dad didn't. he said "I don't know. He's differednt
isn't he." to which the son agreed, "Yes." Then the dad said," We are all
different in some ways aren't we." To which the little boy agreed with an
"Uhhuh" And with a smile, the little boy was satisfied and comforted.

It was a wonderful sight to see a parent with a little bit of wisdom and
understanding!

We babysat our friends three-year old for a while who thinks Jim is the
greatest thing to come along since candy!
We would but her on his lap in the wheelchair when we went out! Boy, I
thought people's necks were gonna break right off. And Savanna is a people
person. She never let one person look at us without her acknowledging them!
Boy, would we see red faces when they were caught staring! LOL
