Mike,
    I  never attended Metheny but went through public schools, same classes
as everyone else, without support services or anything more than the most
basic adaptive equipment. I guess that made me luckier than most disabled
people of my generation, but not quite as fortunate as today's kids. Of
course, its all a matter of perspective, at least I never had to worry that
the school bullies might show up one day with pistols to back up their
hostile attitudes.
