We asked 1 snake owner
. Keeps threatening people away (important in inner city areas)
. Attracts interesting people
. Reduces rodent population
. Provides companionship

(It does not fetch things, open doors, or any of the usually assist
animal things. <g>)
There are a couple of people in the east bay (San Francisco Bay Area)
using wheelchairs who own large snakes.

Mary, I'd really like to know how a snake is used as an assistive
animal--it
sounds very interesting. Karen

Thanks Mary-I can see now how a snake could come in handy, even in my
own situation.
