Call Robert Pomeroy at the National Center for the Study of History (207
637-2873) and order the Historic Preservation Family Tree wall chart (about
$5.00). It is a very useful  presentation of career opportunities in
historic preservation. It is the most comprehensive I have seen and lists
hundreds of careers in 36 catagories. It also has a five-step method for
making career
decissions in preservation. I get good reports from those to whom I have
recommended the chart and after  30+ years in preservation and I still
occasionally
use this chart in my own career development.
