Marti, in the position for the SFPL, there is:
"San Francisco Public Library is an Equal Opportunity Employer
Minorities, Woman and Persons with Disabilities are Encouraged to Apply"
Since the SFPL is a public library under the City of SF,
and thus under Title II of the ADA, how will the personnel office
know the applicant is disabled? Under the ADA (Title I to V), it is
illegal to ask "Whether are you disabled?" on application employment
forms because there is no affirmative action requirement/provision
in the ADA, unlike Section 501 and 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of
1973.
