Working on a Matsonic MS6391e Motherboard with on-board everything, K6-2 500 CPU, 64 MB PC100 RAM, Win98 SE.

Problem: two out of every three POST will id the CPU as a K6-2 250. In the bios, it says a K6-2 500 is identified. Upon reboot, 250 again. I have changed the automatic settings to specific numbers, 2.2 volts, 5X clock, 100 Mhtz. STILL the POST says 250, two out of three times. Any ideas??
