Well the first thing you need to do is determine WHERE the radio signals
are getting into your powered speakers. My guess would be from the line
between your computer and the speakers. Radio Shack and other similar stores
sell chokes that might help you there. If not, there are a few things you
can do, try changing the length of the cable, it might just be that your
cable length is the right length to act as an antenna, I have seen this
happen with long mic cables. However, I doubt this will help since AM has
very long wavelengths and speakers usually don't have THAT much gain. Have
you tried calling the radio station for suggestions? Another good route to
follow is contact a local HAM (amateur radio operator) or HAM club, they are
have a LARGE amount of knowledge and experience when dealing with these
sorts of problems. Unfortunately most consumer equipment is under Part 15 of
FCC regulations (assuming you are in the US, other countries have similar
regulations) and what that means is they may pick up interference that
impedes operation and you can't blame the interferer for it. Hope this
helped, TTYL
