I don't really know how you were diagnosed or by whom. Let's assume that you
have a candida problem. Candida is present in everyone's bodies. Being
overrun with Candida is possibly a symptom of a weakened immune system, as I
understand it.
I don't see how consuming large quantities of carb-loaded grains is going to
help. Just common sense, but doesn't candida like sugar? Carbs are
metabolized into sugar, so wouldn't following this suggestion entail feeding
the candida what they like?
I would think that a low carb diet might be more effective, minimizing sugar
all together. Also, by following paleo dieting, aren't you more likely not
to challenge your immune system with grains? The whole premise of Ray's diet
is eating what we are genetically designed to eat, and this is what is best,
theoretically, for your immune system.
I don't really know any of this, this is just a surmise. It's what I would
follow if I were diagnosed with candida, eat a low carb paleo diet.
