I wouldn't eat them, then. I have the same problem with self control but
now, I find that some turnips or 1/2 a yam or sweet potato with dinner makes
me feel great and suppresses cravings.
I have trouble stopping with any sort of high sugar food such as dates, it
is not the same thing, whereas I can eat just the right amount of yam or
turnips and not go overboard.
But, if I don't have the carbs for dinner and have had very few carbs during
the day, then I end up eating junk that is always around our house for the
non paleos. With the carbs I have the self-control so it is not a problem.
