Yes William--thanks. I mentioned Gottschall's book a few days ago under
the Crohn's heading here. (I have Crohn's, with all it's wonderful
scarring and strictures.) Many still have problems on that diet until
they end up customizing it to be almost paleo anyway, though it seems to
work for a great majority. It allows fermented dairy and butter (it may
be lactose-free but it's not good for those many Crohnies who have
developed milk protein allergies) and honey (bad news for the many of us
Crohnies with candida problems). I certainly wouldn't discourage her
diet for those not willing to go totally paleo though, since it seems to
help so many folks, especially those with ulcerative colitis--their list
is so active I had to unsubscribe.
