I have started taking cod liver oil. I believe the downsides are:

1. vitamin A and D overdose
2. toxins that the fish picks up, concentrated in their liver
3. oxidized EFAs

Interestingly, I can't find refrigerated cod liver oil although there is
excellent fresh flaxseed oil available in the refrigerated health food
section.

Do you have any comments on taking cod liver oil? I plan on taking about 1
teaspon every day or two for several months. I hope to see some benefit in
reduced allergies and otherwise it is somewhat of an experiment. I will not
be taking flaxseed oil during this time.
