Friends,
this is tragic. The family must formally make a "case" by reporting the
crime to the authorities, and bring the case to court.
Legally itīs normal that persons, companies etc. who/which are not directly
influented by (legal part) a crime can not bring it to court. So the family
must act. Iīm sure there are many in The Gambia who can help them to handle
this legally correct.
Then no-one can just sit and watch if the authorities will not act promptly
and give such a serious crime priority. Something "smells" here.
Next step we have to, or maybe Foroyaa has allready informed Amnesty
International to involve and act !?
We can all agree with the president that "democracy" has many faces and the
West donīt have any right to declare which form is the right one. But when
it comes to "human rights" I donīt think that there are many different
definations.Itīs us the human beings who knows exactly that human rights
are human rights. The principles can not be compared even we see that our
leaders try to do so every day in every society all over. PLEASE, GAMBIAN
AUTHORITIES, IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION GIVE THE FAMILY NOTICE.
