Joy,

While I can't comment on the entire procedure you mention, I did have
both my hamstrings released two summers ago (at age 27). I have found
the surgery to be beneficial as I can finally walk without so much
effort and actually straighten my legs for the first time in my life.
But it has been a long recovery. I was up and walking after being in
casts for three weeks in just two weeks, but I can honestly say that it
has just been in the last few months that I feel like I am ambulating
comfortably without having to think about every step. And I still can't
do steps yet...mostly mental issue, though!!

Ask any questions you have. I'll help best I can.

Linda
