Wow rayna! In our part of Calif. we have to [phone a day in advance for the
accessible vans. In San Francisco, they have more accessible taxis than
Oakland. I am currently engaged in a quiet battle with the City of Oakland
to put curb cuts on EVERY corner. So far they have repaired one curb cut, put
several crosswalks in, installed 4 ped xing signs at a dangerous corner,
repaired several streets where trees have uprooted the sidewalk, and put in
about 12 new curb cuts. I am just going to continue my 1 woman show until
every street in Oakland is accessible and safe! It can be done!
