Linda,

When I was a toddler, my folks were lured down to Taylor from their home
town north of Hillsboro(Milford) by my con artist uncle. He had puchased a
business in Taylor and hired my dad as his mechanic. He went busted about a
month later. Sometime during that period, I think Mom visited Bass'
tombstone. My folks found themelves in the middle of the Great Depression
with 2 young boys(one, me, with CP),
in a town with no resources. They finally moved to San Antonio where we grew
up and where mom still lives today. That's how I knew about Sam Bass. Aren't
you sorry you mentioned it. Ha Ha!

Bobby

P.S. I read up on Bass later and he was never a great bandit, he got $50 in
his biggest
hold-up!
