I bought a can of zylitol (type of sweetener made from birch bark) yesterday
after reading on the package that it was a good sweetener for diabetics. I
have friends and family with diabetes. I thought I would try making
Christmas cookies with it. Anyway, what info I can now find on the internet
implies that it is similar to sorbitol. Sorbitol makes me sick - not a
gluten reaction, just a sick feeling. Does anyone know something more about
zylitol and if I should try eating it?

  Thanks,
