Hi Everyone,
I thought I'd pass along a couple of websites which have been very
helpful to me in evaluating cosmetics, toiletries, household products,
etc. I have provided some of this information to a few members in
response to specific messages, but it seems that there may be broad
interest in this information.
Let me be clear that I am not Jewish, nor do I have any affiliation with
these websites whatsoever (I was simply lucky to stumble across them in
my internet explorations). However, it is my understanding that some
members of the Jewish faith refrain from using or owning any products
containing wheat, rye, barley, oats or spelt (which are considered
"chometz"), and that the certification processes for "Kosher for
Passover" are quite strict. The lists on these pages are published to
help those who adhere to these restrictions find suitable household
products, cosmetics and other products, and are from Passover 2001
(spring 2001).

Chicago Rabbinical Council Pesach 5761- 2001 Product Information (foods,

I hope this information is helpful. If there are any members of this
list who are Jewish or are otherwise knowledgeable regarding Passover
product requirements, please feel free to add your comments.
Thank you,
Teresa
