Today I flew on Continental Airlines with my 6-year-old son who has CD. I
ordered a gluten-free meal for him. As the flight attendant handed me the
special meal, she pointed out the roll and said, "I think everything else is
o.k." Not only was there a regular wheat roll, there was a half-piece of pita
bread and a packaged cookie made with high gluten wheat flour! If they were
trying to poison my son, they couldn't have done any better. The flight
attendant later said she's seen them do this for the last ten years. I was so
astounded I took a photo. I am about to write to them now, but I wanted to
send out a warning to those of you flying Continental. (Someone ended up
giving us their fruit plate, which had Yoplait, so you would probably be
better off ordering that.) No need to respond to me, thanks.
