I work at Wal-marts. They offered a free CPR class last year and we have a
list of people who are CPR certified in a prominent place just in case. I
think more people know it than not Betty. Many high schools offer it as part
of different classes ( all three of my oldest were certified before Alex was
even born).I think you yourself know that just having the knowledge of CPR
doesn't mean one will use it when called on. Alot of people just freeze
up/panic in an emergency and others do more than get past the gawking stage.
Sometimes the most important person is the person with the cell phone who
calls 911.
