Hello fellow listers:

Well, a week and a half ago, I purchase a wonderful new Dell computer
system, and I am totally thrilled with it, for the most part. Of course,
when you deal with a company like Dell, you get all their pre-loaded
software. In my case, this pre-loaded software included a program called
"MusicMatch Juke Box." Well, despite my having set winamp 2.95 as my default
player, when accessing audio on most sites, MusicMatch would jump in ahead
of winamp, or try to do so. (I have subsequently solved that problem by
starting up winamp and minimizing it in the background.)

Here's the problem. My initial strategy for resolving this problem was to
simply uninstall MusicMatch Juke Box since I didn't really want it, didn't
ask for it, it's unaccessible, etc. Well, after uninstalling juke box, my
computer lost the ability to recognize the CD-rom and CD/DVD-rw drives; no
ability to load programs, etc. (Thank god for system restore.)

So, my question is, what are you folks using out there for sound, CD
burning, etc. I've downloaded the latest version of Nero; it didn't seem to
be too blind friendly, but maybe there are JAWS scripts for it. Would an
older version of Nero be better? I want to get rid of MusicMatch Juke Box,
but cannot do so until I can load another program such that my computer will
still see the CD drives.

Thanks in advance for any help, thoughts, suggestions, etc.

John McCann
