One of the great features of the Internet is its ability for all of us
to be content producers and every person's home page is as easy to access
as the other guy's. I celebrate the pride every blind computer user has
in putting out his or her voice on the Information Superhighway. A task
that often requires hunting down accessible formats of relevant books,
finding training that affirms us, and mastering adapted technology well
enough to put it all together. Additionally, employment prospects may be
increased as one develops the sought after skills in today's information
economy. We can now be more than passive information consumers.

I enjoy sharing in the great ah ahs as we roll our own Internet and
express ourselves so effortlessly, a task difficult for most blind persons
before the advent of the computer and computer networking. My new year's
resolution is to learn how to design my own web page. I welcome stories
from others and their web page announcements whether christian, atheist,
agnostic, jewish, or anything else.
