I recommend going nomail instead of unsubscribing. This just means that
you won't receive messages for a certain period of time instead of leaving
the list permanently and re-subscribing again.

To do this, send a message to [log in to unmask] In the body,
type set vicug-l nomail. When you are ready to receive messages again,
send a message to the same address and type in te body: set vicug-l mail.
