Hi,
I think it was on this list that a few months ago that some one posted a
=
message saying O'reilly associates were selling plain text copies of =
their books. Please could you tell me the name and email address of the =
person to contact at O'reilly for me to be able to do this.
Thanks, Husna

Hello Husna,

Actually, Oreilly and Associates will provide nearly any book free of
charge to a blind person. They own the rights and have the digital files
to nearly all of the books they publish. For the ones they don't they
cannot provide them to us. Also, their offer extends only to books not
currently available from Recording for the Blind. If RFB has produced
the book, the Oreilly people ask that we obtain it from RFB. It is
necessary to send them a letter from your doctor documenting blindness,
which most of us have already. It is also necessary to agree that the
book is for our personal use only and is not to be shared with other
people. The Person with whom I had contact at O'reilly was Lenny
Mulluner whose e-mail address is:

I hope this helps. If you want his phone number, I believe it was in the
original message, which is in the vicug-l archives. the url for the
archives is at the end of this message. Talk to you later.
