It could, especially at first. She may not be getting enough
salt and potassium, given the initial diuretic effect of ketosis.
This could easily cause BP to drop, and could in fact be
dangerous (It could cause heart rhythm disturbances as well).
Most books on ketogenic diet emphasize the importance of
electrolyte supplementation, particularly in the early stages
before equilibrium has been achieved.
