Hi all!  For those who don't remember, my son had been told by the parochial
school that he was not welcome into their class this year.  I was a little
less than thrilled.  Let me update you on the story...

My husband and I went to talk to the principal last week.  She had been
unable to meet with us before Christmas, when everything happened, because
she had a Sciatica problem.  Anyway, she was shocked to find out what had
happened.  She said she and the nurse had discussed Peter's allergies, and
how to deal with them.  The particular class he was signing up for met on
Fridays, which happens to be the only day of the week that there is no nurse
at the school.  They felt that this was not the best way to introduce him to
a school environment, and not the best way for the school to be introduced to
his allergies.  Since it was a pre-k class, and it was the middle of the
year, they thought we would all be better off waiting until next year, start
fresh, and have the nurse's schedule be more in tune with his.  Anyway, the
school nurse totally mishandled the situation.  I get the impression that she
is not looking forward to this 'learning opportunity'.  Too bad.

Anyway, the principal said my son is more than welcome, and seemed genuinely
excited to meet him.  I can't wait, and neither can he.  Thanks for all the
