Hello,
Following the last post about Vegan Rella dairy-free "cheese" I also
contacted the Rella Good Cheese Company. One of the responses I received is
copied below. I thought this might be helpful for those of you who are milk
allergic (like my son) and not just lactose intolerant. It sounds like they
clean the equipment very thoroughly and the "cheese" might be safe, but you
might want to be careful.

Hi Sandra,
I forgot to tell you about the processing of the cheese. It is run on the
same equipment as our other cheese alternatives, which contain casein (the
protein in cow's milk). The machinery is thoroughly cleaned with wire
brushes and detergents between runs, but it is the same machinery. Our other
cheeses are about 20% casein. I hope your son will be able to eat
VeganRella, but I understand that you need to be very cautious.
