Bill, you bet!
Hey, I barely got to my job interview. The paratransit never showed up, and
that's with my even allowing for them to be one hour late! lucky for me my
dad dropped a new vacuum cleaner off, and I asked if he'd take me. I'm
completely pissed at EBPT, they knew it was an important ride ... 1st they
said well your window was between 10:05 - 10:15. That was a lie! ... then we
called them 3 more times... "the guy is on his way," arrrrgghhh!
Anyway by the time we got to the office, I was sweating like a waterfall, and
oh yes, I'd discovered last night when I put my batteries in my talker
device, that something was wrong with it, so I had to speak, but they were a
great panel (six people! Gasp) and I managed to make them understand me! I
told them I thought of it as an opportunity to stretch myself. :'> They liked
that. I wasn't going to let a little thing like a broken talker prevent me
from going to the interview. That's something I learned from one of these
nutty courses I've taken over the years. ;->
I'll know next week whether I get this job or if they want to hire me for the
next job. When my job coach and I were standing outside waiting for my dad,
one of the panel came out to smoke, and gave me the OK sign with his hand. So
I know he liked me.
So, yes, of course, EBPT is going to get a long letter from me!
