I know it is not our practice to post announcements to the list regarding
projects for which the people involved are not able to answer questions
and interact with us, just like at an actual vicug meeting. I just added
Tom to the list at his request. He asked us to post this for him so it

Smith-Kettlewell Display Tools (SKDtools) Version 1.0
For Use With
MATLAB(R) Version 6.0 or Later
This free auditory/tactile representation toolbox for MATLAB is a work in
progress produced by The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute's
Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center. The tools make use of your
workstation's standard sound hardware and/or a Braille embosser capable
of
producing tactile graphics. SKDtools provides blind engineers and
scientists with a quick and easy way to inspect data sets that sighted

colleagues would normally view with the graphical tools provided by
MATLAB.
