Hi,
        For purpose of my thesis work, I need to be able to cut a sound file into
chunks that I could replay at a later point.
        I have tried to do it with Sound Forge 4.5 but without much success. I can
place the cursor where I want the "region" or "marker" to be placed but I
don't succeed to place a permanent mark there. I think one of the problem
is that I don't know how to select the data.
        I'd like to know if any of you has worked with these kinds of programs and
what you came up with. I could use an other program than Sound Forge, I
just happened to have that one and I don't know if the others would be
better. I need to find a solution pretty quickly because, being able to
process those files, is an important part of my upcoming thesis.
