Hi Listmates -

A happy ending!

Over a year ago, I forwarded a request to the list from a German teenage
boy who wanted to stay in the USA with a family who had a celiac boy
near his age. It apparently worked out well and here is his thanks.

Dear Mrs Holmes

Maybe you remember me, I`m the boy from Germany who spent 4 months in
Oregon in 1999.

I apologize for not writing to you sooner, because now it`s over one
year ago!

My time in the states was really great. I was treated like a family
member and I've found many new friends, some of them I'm still in
touch with. Again I want to thank you so much for your help!
I'm doing fine. Now I`m 17 years old and I'm in school for another 2
years. I'm so sorry that my visit to Seattle didn`t work out. How are
you doing?

Maybe you have time to mail back.

Anyways, I wish you and your husband all the best for 2001!

Sincerely, Johannes Schmidt
