Hi Listmates!
I watched with interest the debate over the ingredients of this cake,
and although I was not sure of the outcome, decided to try my hand at
making it. I had to substitute carob for the chocolate (allergic to that
too) and frosted it with a carob butter frosting. It indeed was
heavenly!
It was the first time in two years that I had had anything even close to
a piece of cake, let alone chocolate cake! Now I won't have to feel
deprived when my birthday comes around and can make myself one of
these.In fact, my leftover portion will go in to the office tomorrow to
share with my employees. My thanks to the original posters of this
recipe.
