I want to thank everyone who sent me notes regarding gluten reactions. I
found it so interesting. A lot of people felt the butter on my baked potato
could have created a problem, or a myriad of other contaminants.
As I got to thinking, while reading all this, I realized that I probably am
lactose intolerant along with everything else. The doctor warned me this
could probably happen, but I didn't think it would. See what I know---
nothing!!
Anyway, I am realizing that after eating cereal, I feel crampy or
uncomfortable for a short while. At first I thought it was due to eating
kellogg's corn flakes (thinking they were okay), and when checking with the
company, I found out they weren't. But since switching to gluten free
cereals, I was having the same troubles.
So now I am starting on some lactose free milk. How far down the line does
this trickle? Cheese, butter, and what else? I understand that being
lactose intolerant is probably a temporary thing, correct? Should I even
avoid anything that could have been made with these things, or just avoid
drinking the larger quantities with the cereal?
Thanks again for your help. this is the only support lifeline I have at the
moment.
