Regarding the questions I got from people about BK fries being coated with
flour, I contacted the company and received a printout of their
ingredients....
French Fries: Potatoes, partially hydrogenated vegetable shortening (soybean
oil), modified potato and corn startch, rice flour, dextrin, salt, leavening
(sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate), corn syrup solids, zanthan
gum, dextrose.
Sounds fine to me....I always ask for the fries straight out of the oil and
tell the person serving it up that I can't have the contamination from onion
ring crumbs. I've seen the server either clean off the tongs or use fresh
ones....often without my asking.
The whopper patties are 100% USDA inspected ground beef (broiled.)
Someone (not from BK) told me that the chicken breasts are safe, but the list
of ingredients specifies that the glaze contains hydrolized wheat gluten, so
it's good I didn't try them.
If you wish more information or a printout or want to share your
experiences-- write to
Burger King Customer Relations

I have found the company very responsive to both complaints and prase. I
didn't hear from headquarters directly, but they forwarded my correspondence
to the local franchise owners, who contacted me. One said she's familiar with
celiac....nice surprise.
