Hello,

It sounds to me like the wire you removed was the wire that we all have..
The power wire to the fan........The shut down then could be the result of
the cpu over heating..

Just my first thought...Good luck!

I have opened the case of my compouter, and the fan is working very fast,
but
I have noticed a long thick wire was placed on the cpu fan. I removed the
long thick wire, and scan my d drive with Scandisk. The computer worked
fine,
but when I tried to scan a A-4 paper with my scanner, at 300 dpi, the
computer just freeze, and restart by itself. Then I closed the computer
case.
Could this problem be a memory problem of a video card problem?
