At least some of their criticisms of Protein Power would no
longer apply to the newer book, Protein Power Lifeplan (For
example, they no longer warn against flax oil or endorse
Nutrasweet).
If and when a review of Neanderthin appears, it is certain to go
in the "thumbs down" column, for at least two reasons. First,
Neanderthin recommends avoidance of all dairy products, wherease
Mary Enig argues that butter, raw milk, and certain fermented
dairy foods are nutritionally very important. Second,
Neanderthin pretty much endorses the view that cholesterol levels
are linked to heart disease, a view that Enig does not accept.
