Stapling doesn't work....long term....either.  I had an
uncle who had very bad ulcers.....had to have most of
his stomach excised......when he came home to our
house to recuperate, he was eating baby food....from
the littlest jars.....several times a day.......and had
indeed lost a lot of weight.   But 20 years later, his
stomach had stretched until he could hold a full meal
of average portions....and he was chubby again.
Loved his biscuits and gravy and cornbread drenched
in butter..........................
