I have used a HP 8100i for a year now and it works just fine. It came with
Adaptec's "Easy CD Creator" which has been easy and effective to work with.
I have found that I really like the ability to backup data to CDs - not only
does it free up the hard-disk but the peace of mind can't be beat. It also
does a good job of creating audio CDs.
