I would boot the computer in safe mode
delete all sound drivers then let windows try to plug and play on restart.
If that doesn't work use the "have disk" option in add and remove hardware
to manually install the sound drivers.
Crystal sound drivers can be a pain I remember fighting them on Intel
motherboards,
but this should get your sound back
