I have a machine with a ASUS P55SP4 board and 166. The windows 95
configuration reports a conflict on the primary and secondary
controllers. I have attempted to remove these via control panel, hoping
that the re-boot will straighten out the conflict but in vain.
It does however recognize and accept the hdd, but  not the cdrom drive
(primary slave).

Could someon suggest what I can do?
The default bios shows the primary / secondary on irqs 14/15, which is
what get assigned.

I see no other cards that could cause conflict. Other than the video,
only the sound card on 7, remains.
