I never used to eat a lot of pine nuts because they were soooo expensive-
lately around $13.00 a pound at my HFS. But recently I've found them packaged
by Diamond at SAMs Club, at a much more reasonalbe $7.95 for a pound and a
half. So, at around $5.25 a pound, that makes them less expensive than
cashews or macadamias. I enjoy them tossed into a stir-fried dish of meat and
veggies, as well as eaten out of hand (if I can control how much of them I
eat!) Anyway, are they actually a nut or a seed? Anyone know how they compare
nutritionally to, say, walnuts?
