>Jean-Claude, is there a name for this variety of 'real grape'?
not one variety but many thousands there is 2 wild plants from wich
all
grapes have been developped .the north american ( present in the
great
lakes region ,i have seen it in Ontario) from wich concord come from.
and
the meditarreans grapes which have been domesticated and diversified a
long
time ago.
Wine grapes are closer to their natives origines because they don't
look for
bigger fruits but for flavorfull ones.
Is is
>possible to purchase them in north america?
i am sure it is ,for some .( there is so many )
>From sean
< Here in North Carolina, we have a wonderful "meaty"
grape called "scuppernong" (I don't know if it's a local name or not)
that
grows uncontrollably once planted .>
could you send me cuttings of your grapes i send you you some from
here.( i
have a black with small berries and a white, both very flavorfull.)
any
other interesting grapes around?
thanks jean-claude
