Gee, and I thought that brandy (made from grapes/wine or other
fermented fruit juices) and rum (made from sugar cane) were safe ;-)
Beer, I'll agree with you - large quantities of barley go into the
production (malting process) of beer.
As far as bourbon goes, to be sold in this country, the mash must
have *at least* 51% corn. However, the other 49% is up for grabs.
(Does anyone make a pure corn bourbon anymore?)
