Hello everyone
Been on GF diet for 2 weeks now. Definite progress is noted! However, I
notice that at various times (usually after a meal, but not always), my
temperature can spike 98.8 to 99.5. I know that CD counts among its
symptoms low-grade fevers, but these "spikes" come and go pretty quickly.
I am being incredibly strict on the diet, never go out to eat, prepare
everything from scratch, and look at every item, including salt and spices.
Other than accidently licking a couple envelopes 4 days ago, I guarantee
you, I have been gluten free. I did have a small amount of gluten-free
corn tortilla chips last night. Also, ate some fresh pecans and a little
bit of shredded coconut (no gluten). My temps for the most part today have
been 99.+ I should also say that there are days when my temps are quite low
for the most part. Are these temperature fluctuations a normal part of the
early days on a GF diet, or does this sound like I am having an allergic
reaction to some GF foods? Haven't done any baking or anything "exotic"
like that. Would appreciate anyone's experiences in this regard.
