David:
According to the Staples flyer in today's paper, Hewlett Packard, Xerox
and Brother all make such machines. (The Brother even includes a
telephone.) The prices run from $200 to $800. I've never used one, so I
can't offer any first hand experience. They've been around a long time
-- I thought about buying one back in '91 when I was working out of my
home -- so I guess that they are a reasonable solution. Before I bought
one, though, I'd check out some of the review sites (Cnet and some of
the computer magazines come to mind.)
